Title I Teacher - Palm Beach County

Status/Hours: TEMPORARY/PART-TIME (30 Hours/Week)

In this position, you will be a part of an educational team consisting of a Lead Teacher, an on-site coordinator, classroom teachers, and fellow teachers working with a diverse population of students. This team works with the School District of Palm Beach County to deliver the highest-quality educational services in reading and mathematics to students in private schools, in a small-group learning environment. As a Title I Teacher, you will be implementing program components and communicating and working closely with school personnel and parents.

Note: To be considered, applicants must have FL certification or a Letter of Eligibility from the FLDOE. Teaching positions this school year may be on-site, remote/online or a hybrid combination

 QUALIFICATIONS:

●     Active FLDOE Teacher Certification or FLDOE Statement of Eligibility required, with a focus on literacy and/or mathematics preferred

  • ●       Experience working with ESE or Title I students a plus

    ●       Effective lesson planning and delivery of instruction for reading and math 

    ●       Experience with specific grade levels – K-5, Middle School and/or High School 

    ●       Computer proficiency required

    ●       Organization and accurate documentation skills is necessary

    ●       Ability to provide a high level of customer service to principals, classroom teachers, and parents

    ●       Must be able to lift 30 pounds

    ●       Work location may be in a school building where employee will need to be able to go up and down stairs

    ●       Frequent standing and ability to raise arms above the head

    ●       Hand dexterity for typing and entering data into a computer

    JOB DUTIES:

  • Teachers will be providing either on-site or distance learning instruction to students in Grades K-8 or HS
